Growing Hops 5 – aphids

The hops are doing well.

The  Goldings is still smallest and has least growth. It almost looks stunted or spiky and curled under. May have to look into that next spring.

The Perle and Willamette are growing strong and each producing several nice cones. There is a white spider mite kind of bug on them, maybe some aphids as well. I mixed a spoonful of Dr. Bronners soap with a pint or so of water and sprayed the heck out of them, trying to get under the leaves. Hope this takes care of it.
